XPhe Energy A is a Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) designed for teenagers aged 15 and over and adults with phenylketonuria (PKU) or hyperphenylalaninaemia (HPA) who require additional energy support. The formula contains highly purified L-amino acids free from phenylalanine, together with additional energy in the form of carbohydrates and fats, including ω-6 and ω-3 fatty acids.
